Hospital Fatimah is a 239 bed, not-for-profit, private specialist hospital within the city of Ipoh, in Perak.

Speedminer was implemented in Fatimah Hospital in 2006 after completion of their deployment of their Total Hospital Information System. They realized the need to have a centralized way to track public health data, an improved process for retrieving healthcare statistics and reports, and to provide users with dynamic multidimensional analyses capabilities. Speedminer was implemented in the IT, Finance and Accounts Department. TrakCare Hospital Information System (TrakCare HIS) is shadowed into Speedminer server in real time (data is updated every 2 seconds). This enables real time reports to be produced on the fly for key administrators. Even ad-hoc analysis has become easier after the implementation of Speedminer. Hospital Group revenues can be monitored on ‘as is basis’, without the need of complex computation and hours of headache. Analysis provides forecasting and trending that can cut costs and target profitable lines of business in order to increase patient care and operating margins. There is increasing need for this type of information as cost pressures put ever-increasing stress on health care organizations of all types.
