Thomas How
CEO and Founder

Since founding Speedminer in 2004, Mr. Thomas has led the company to worldwide prominence in the data warehouse and business intelligence application markets.

Prior to starting Speedminer, Mr. Thomas co-founded a software and hardware company named Hesper Technology that distributes products of Intersystems, Vox, NEC, SAP B1, Dell, HP and IBM.

After obtaining a Bachelor of Applied Science from Swinburne University of Technology, Australia, he served as an IT consultant to private companies named Bridges Worldwide (U.K), Atlas Development Corporation (USA) and Medicare Solution International (Singapore & Thailand). In the past two years, CAP(Certified Analytics Professional) and received Data Science Certification from Johns Hopkins University, University of Illinois, Stanford University and The Pennsylvania State University.

Lau Kah Kin
Integration Specialist

KahKin is Integration Specialist of Speedminer Sdn. Bhd. His expertise is in System Integration and Machine Integration. He has been in Project Lead in many projects include :-

  1. Integration project of Antalis. Antalis is an Europe’s leading distributor of paper, packaging solutions and visual communication products for professionals. He has managed to use Speedminer Integration Platform to integrate JDE to LIBRA to generate CRM summary report in differential mode and full mode.
  2. Integration Project of Sunway Medical Centre, a leading hospital in Malaysia. SUNMED has (PACS, HIS, CA, LIS, CATHLAB, etc.) to be integrated.
  3. Integration project and machine interface projects in many sites in Klang Valley i.e. IJN, Gleaneagles KL, DEMC, Hospital KL, Pantai Premier and Celcom Axiata Bhd.

Kenneth Leong
Head of Development Division

Kenneth is a certified data scientist. Leading a development team in company, Kenneth Leong is responsible for all aspects of the Speedminer products, including research, design, and development including testing, product vision, quality assurance and architecture. Kenneth co-designs and develops enterprise business intelligence (BI) and web development framework system which has later extended big data functionality by incorporating predictive model editor that supports various algorithms to assist non-technical user to perform technical analysis as well as unstructured text analytics module. He experienced in implementing BI and system development project too. With over 10 years of IT system development and consultancy experience, he is passionate in creating cutting edge innovative solution to fulfil and handle in advance the industry needs.

He studied Computer Science at the Campbell University. In the past two years, he has obtained the Data Science Certification (Johns Hopkins University).

Qayyuum Harun

Senior Developer

Qayyuum graduated from University of Applied Science Constance in Germany and has a deep interest in unstructured data analysis. He now oversees the text analytics development for Speedminer. During the years of his professional software experience, he had the opportunity to be involved in development of several text analytics applications such as search, sentiment analysis, automated text extraction, document classifications and knowledge management. He is keen to assist businesses and organisations to establish and leverage text analytics solution.
